Finnish Verge Motorcycles‘ E2 concept bike is now known as the TS production retains is show floor crowdpleaser, the hubless rear wheel and rim-mounted motor. It’s as harrowing as it is freakishly awesome. The rear engine is the actual rim and also aces as the braking system. Hell, there isn’t even a brake pedal but twin hand brakes. There are now two sets of footpegs to maximize rider comfort now that the braking function traditionally performed by the right foot is no longer. Because of the drive setup, there’s also no chain.
The TS gets a 80kW (107 horsepower) and a pavement warping 735 lb-ft of torque that adds up to 0-60 mph in under four seconds. It even gets 180 city and 120 highway miles of range with DC fast charging capability. Top end specs like Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes are also part of the standard equipment setup. The angular orange and black electric motorcycle just went up for pre-orders on the company website ($2,158 deposit) and a total price of $26,950.
